Here at CloudRAN.AI, we've reached a breakthrough with the development of our 5G hyper-cell solution, transforming how large-scale events are connected and experienced by both organizers and spectators. This innovation merges coverage from multiple base stations into a single hyper-cell, eliminating network handovers, reducing latency, and boosting overall capacity. Our system aims to solve persistent connectivity challenges at high-demand venues, such as stadiums and racetracks, offering both improved coverage and a seamless experience for users. The groundbreaking success of our 2024 pilot at Brazil’s one of most famous racing car arenas provides a compelling example of how this technology can reshape and improve live sports broadcasting.

The pilot deployed at the famous racetrack pushed the boundaries of what is possible with 5G connectivity. Through eight race cars, we were able to transmit 360-degree HD video feeds with real-time Doppler frequency shift compensation algorithms, guaranteeing smooth footage even at speeds of up to 250 km/h. The network achieved an impressive average uplink capacity of 230 Mbps which facilitated stable and high-quality video streaming for the audience at the track, which has a capacity of up to 60,000 spectators. This level of performance was previously unthinkable, especially in high-speed environments like racetracks where traditional networks have struggled to maintain seamless communication.
